1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using GPX Tools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or tools.
2. Description of service
GPX Tools provides browser-based utilities and educational guides for GPS track files, including GPX repair, timestamp generation, lap detection, simplification, trimming, anonymization, merging, elevation review, and file conversion. Most processing happens locally in the browser.
3. Informational use only
GPX Tools is provided for informational, educational, and utility purposes. It is not professional coaching, safety, navigation, legal, medical, financial, or engineering advice. Always verify route and activity data before using it for training decisions, racing decisions, navigation, public sharing, or safety-critical purposes.
4. User responsibility
- You are responsible for keeping backups of original GPX files.
- You are responsible for confirming that generated files are accurate enough for your intended use.
- You should not upload, email, publish, or share GPX files that reveal private locations unless you understand the risk.
- You may not use the site to process files you do not have permission to use.
5. AI and generated output responsibility
The current public tools use deterministic browser-side processing rather than AI interpretation of user GPX files. If future AI-assisted features are introduced, any AI-generated suggestions or explanations must be independently reviewed by the user. You remain responsible for decisions made from generated output.
6. User conduct
You may not misuse the website, attempt to disrupt service, reverse engineer hosted infrastructure, submit malicious files, bypass security controls, or use the tools in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
7. Advertising
The website may display advertising, including Google AdSense, to support free access. Ads should be clearly separated from navigation, forms, download buttons, and tool controls. Do not click ads in a misleading or automated way, and do not encourage others to do so.
8. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds
GPX Tools is currently free and does not sell subscriptions through this website. If paid features, donations, or commercial subscriptions are introduced later, pricing, billing terms, renewal behavior, cancellation, and refund rules will be disclosed before purchase.
9. Third-party platforms
References to Strava, Garmin, TrainingPeaks, Google, or other platforms are for compatibility and educational context. GPX Tools is not endorsed by those platforms, and their import behavior may change without notice.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The website and tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect output, compatibility with every device, or acceptance by every third-party platform.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPX Tools and its maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including data loss, corrupted exports, incorrect activity records, failed imports, privacy exposure from shared files, or decisions made from processed GPS data.
